Services

Mediation

We provide mediation services to parties seeking to resolve disagreements and conflicts or to repair working relationships.

Part of Tomee’s role as a mediator is to listen to each party’s position, understand the issues, and assist the parties in working toward workable solutions. She is flexible and adapts to the needs of parties and the situation.

Tomee’s expertise and experience will assist the parties as they work through challenging and emotionally difficult conflicts.

In the initial meeting prior to entering into the mediation process, Tomee will speak with each party to gather facts and insights about the conflict. Tomee will then share her suggestions and, together with the parties, determine if mediation or another alternative dispute resolution method would be more suitable.

Half-Day Mediation

A half-day (three hours or less) is usually billed at a flat fee plus HST. The fee covers two hours of preparation and a three-hour (or less) session.

Most mediations are conducted online over a secure Zoom business platform.

In-person sessions that require facilities are an additional cost.

The invoice will be split between the parties to the dispute unless there is a written agreement specifying a different allocation.

A cancellation fee is charged if written notice is received at least 30 business days in advance of the mediation. A full mediation fee is charged when there is less than 10 business days’ written notice. The parties will be responsible for any non-refundable disbursements incurred.

Payment options: e-transfer or EFT.

A non-refundable fee is charged to hold the date and time.
